It goes without saying that this kind of undertaking requires
preparation. That’s why every flight is preceded by a preparatory
ground course that explains in detail all phases of your
upcoming flight and associated manoeuvres. You will then take to the
sky in the company of a flight instructor, who will round out
your ground training and ensure that the flight proceeds smoothly. |
Pilot for a
Day
Pilot for a day: everything starts here. This is a hands-on course
for beginners. Familiarize yourself with the world
of aviation, experience what it’s like to fly and
learn basic piloting skills.
This familiarization package includes a 1.5-hour
preparatory ground course. You will learn about the forces
that act on an aircraft in flight. We will discuss the various
flight control surfaces that allow a pilot to steer and control
an aircraft, their location, their effects and how they are
controlled from the cockpit. As well, we will review the cockpit
instruments, their functions and the information they provide.
Manoeuvres
You will learn to safely manoeuvre an aircraft, both on the
ground and in flight. Once in the air, you will be
shown the various flight attitudes and manoeuvres
that allow you to control a plane during climbs, descents, turns
and level flight.
