Ground Scholl
Courses are usually taught in small groups of 10 to 15 students, but private and semi-private instruction is also offered. You may begin your training at the start of any session, as ground school runs continuously and the courses are taught throughout the year.

Ground school instruction is divided into 7 subject areas :
Theory of flight : Basic principles of flight. Study of aerodynamics and understanding of instruments.
General knowledge : Study of the different airplane systems.
Air law : Familiarize the pilot with the aerodromes, the airspace, as well as the rules and procedures of flight inside the Canadian airspace.
Air exploitation : Revision of speeds and altitudes to be able to understand and evaluate the performances of the airplane.
Meteorology : Study of all weather phenomena in relation to aviation.
Navigation : Study of different navigational charts, flight planning and various types of navigation instruments.
Human factors : Study of pilot’s decision making process and all the interactions of the human behaviours with the pilot’s direct environment.
