Instructor
This is the easiest and most common way for pilots to start a career in aviation. Flight instruction opens the door to a wide range of specializations, including bush flying, air taxi services, aerial spraying and airline transport.
Privileges: This rating entitles you to train pilots for Recreational Pilot Permits, Private Pilot Licences, Commercial Pilot Licences, Multi-engine ratings and IFR ratings.
Minimum age: 18 years old Medical requirements: Class I
Transport Canada’s minimal requirements Possession of a valid Commercial Pilot Licence 25 hours of ground school 30 hours of dual flight instruction with a Class I flight instructor
Exams Written examination completed at a Transport Canada facility Practical flight test with a Transport Canada-approved inspector
